I did not attend. I do however know of at least 3 large co ops representing 1000's of acres already committed to hemp and acquiring seed permits. Separate of that their are 15-20 farms that dont want to pair up with others seeking permits thus pursuing privately. With hundreds more trying to bend the rules. The nc hemp commission is a solid group of folks as i know several. The goal by nc was up to 10000 acres thru permitting and that will only grow over time. Look at KY.
For NC-In order to get a license to grow currently you have to do several things -1- own property over past year that has made income farming in nc. -2-secondly establish a hemp research relationship with a college or university. There is a list of other qualifiers but all pretty easy in my opinion. Hemp will generate for the true farmers more revenue on avg than what is coming in now and its easier to grow...hemp that is as medicinal and recreational pot cultivation is an entirely different league.
