Other than periodic day trades...I stopped trading VIX as the current market euphoria/Fed pump is unbreakable. Trying to guess where/when/if it will break only does one thing...make your account(s) smaller.

As for GDX/NUGT...yet another super-low volume day. GDX has had around 4 other days so far this year with volume below 40 million. In every case thus far...the following day price has been higher. Can we keep that trend intact???
