This is in response to email sent last week about settlement court date.

Dear Mr. XXXXXXX:
Thank you for your email regarding Washington Mutual Bank dated March 3, 2017 received in our Dallas office on March 6, 2017.
In that email you ask if the court hearing for approval for Deutsche Bank National Trust Company, as Trustee, to consummate the August 19, 2016 Settlement Agreement with FDIC and JPMorgan Chase Bank, is still scheduled for May 17, 2017. The FDIC as Receiver for Washington Mutual Bank is not a party to that court action, does not receive scheduling notices from the court, and has no influence on the progression or outcome of that court case. At present we have heard that a hearing is scheduled for May 9, 2017 but that information could be inaccurate at the time of this writing. We are confident that Deutsche Bank National Trust Company, as Trustee, will notify us promptly when a dispositive court decision is final. Please contact Deutsche Bank National Trust Company, as Trustee, for the most accurate and up-to-date status on its court proceedings.
The FDIC as Receiver for Washington Mutual Bank is fulfilling its duties as receiver and will wrap up the receivership as expeditiously as possible. Unfortunately, there continue to be new claims and lawsuits filed against the Washington Mutual Bank receivership that must be resolved before a final liquidating distribution can be paid on allowed claims and the receivership terminated. We cannot predict when that will occur.
