Classic EDIG: NUNCHI! years go by nothing then MICROSIGNET! Years go by EDIG knows their marks are getting restless so SYNAP! then water thingee! EDIG has done this string along for as long as I can remember and somehow it works!

What people do not realize is anybody can file a lawsuit. I could theoretically file a lawsuit against Apple and they would be compelled to hire lawyers to answer regardless of the merit. Tech patents are complicated enough that they make it difficult to legally sanction the troll using them for bringing a meritless case. As the case proceeds the cost of the lawyers adds up into the hundreds of thousands in the discovery phase up to the millions through trial. EDIG appears, from their financials, to settle for about $75k.

Anybody can file for a patent. EDIGs patents are for a very specific method of interpreting sensor data. Their patent is not for the broad concept of simply interpreting sensor data as EDIG shareholders seem to think and EDIG implies. Think about it using sensors over the internet to inform decisions did not begin in 2011 with the NUNCHI patents. Sensors and the internet have been around long before 2011! Also the remote monitoring water thingee concept has been around a long time it was not invented by EDIG. Sadly folks simply listen to EDIGs PRs and fail to do even a little research using a "search engine". If they were a little less trusting they would be a bit more skeptical. All above in my opinion.
