PIXELMAGS VS TEXTURE?
Ive seen countless posts on here talking about how great TEXTURE is and how
could we POSSIBLY COMPETE WITH THEM
! http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=129884157&txt2find=texture http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=129439052&txt2find=texture http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=127711175&txt2find=texture
First thought is WOW.. I do remember seeing a commercial or 2 for TEXTURE... They must REALLY be BEATING THE PANTS OFF PIXEL
Then I went to look at the one thing that matters more than anything else: CONTENT
You can have all the great advertising in the world, but if you have nothing to sell, you aint going to make any $$$...
TEXTURE touts "200 titles" and is quoted here in MARCH '16 as "closing in" on 200 magazines... https://mrmagazine.wordpress.com/2016/03/15/texture-app-will-it-succeed-in-changing-the-way-people-read-magazines-the-mr-magazine-interview-with-maggie-murphy-editorial-content-director-texture/
On the total number of magazines available on the app: We’re closing in on 200 magazines and recently we added the Reader’s Digest team, along with The Atavist, so we’re covering from every spectrum. And we have all of the partners’ brands, so that’s all of the magazines from Time Inc., from Sports Illustrated to People to EW and of course Time magazine. We have Condé Nast and all of their brands, such as Bon Appétit, Vogue and The New Yorker. We have all of Hearst’s wonderful titles, like Marie Claire, Esquire, Town & Country and we have titles outside our partners
If you dig a bit, you can see just how many magazines PIXEL
has TODAY... 1 year from when TEXTURE was 'closing in" on 200 magazines... PIXELS' READR
app has 241
Here is the result when TEXTURE is searched... http://download.cnet.com/s/texture/ BOTH
and TEXTURE began in 2009
and as of EOY 2010 PIXEL
had over 1 MILLION DOWNLOADS
and had IN-APP
purchases increasing 169%! http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20110104006487/en/PixelMags-Celebrates-Anniversary-Million-Downloads
I see NOTHING that tells me PIXEL
has any LESS REVS than TEXTURE, and once FINS get dropped, and PIXEL
actually gets its NAME out to the market, these shares will be making the move we've all been waiting for.
