March 26-The first warm spring rain passed through this afternoon. I sat in the greenhouse waiting for the shower to slow so I could walk to the bus stop. CC the Calico Cat enjoyed napping in the chair until one afternoon, when I was uptown, a rainstorm happened. The wind was strong enough to push the door closed. When I returned I found her inside, eyes big as saucers, and all the claw marks in the plastic. Since then, she leaves when she hears the raindrops pattering on the plastic.
I did manage to set out six more lettuce plants, sow more spinach seed, and add more radish, parsnip and beet seed.
Some of the pepper seedlings have produced true leaves. That's when I up pot them. I won't know how many will go into the ground until it's time for transplanting in late April-early May.
Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
