College is a racket. My cousin spent about $160K in tuition for his son, who did very well in math and science in high school, but chose a nonmath or science major in college. Post grad, he worked for three years as a bartender, then got a real job selling paper products. His sister attended a private college, majoring in nursing. She got picked up at a well known hospital at a good salary.
Kids today who are not good at math and science and have no special talents, are doomed to a middle- to lower-middle class lifestyle.
Women who pursue math and science careers--medicine, engineering, etc.--will do as well as men.
AI is VERY scary. We cannot have an exploding population and a shrinking supply of jobs, unless we want to become Venezuela.
