That was one hell of a race, EZ.
The word "amazing" is used casually for just about anything complimentary but in this instance Arrogate was truly amazing. What a horse race we witnessed.
Bob Baffert truthfully said that he had given up just after the start, the horse placed dead last in a squeeze. Mike Smith thought the same thing. Let the horse run, see how he finishes.
But Smith had a powerhouse under him, a no quit horse, a for all-time thoroughbred.
Arrogate simply is a big, strong horse that can run, that wants to run, that at the finish looked as if he could have run another lap.
Gun Runner ran a winning race, showing his class, but Arrogate showed that he is in a class above, perhaps by himself.
