I've seen that phenomenon so many times....fixation on sunk money. I guess, there is still value sitting there to be picked up later...but maybe something learned in the meanwhile will make it a learning stepping stone, which many failed attempts at EVERYTHING usually ends up being. I'd feel better if they actually bring in some commercial value and help people with bavi...so far it's still the promise of one vs. the promise of the other both with lots of sunk $.
