I am talking about an equity investment. The stock was very cheap, and their R&D partner, which has made several equity investments, did not invest in the company despite a very low market cap:

They couldn't convince their partner in R&D in Canada, one of the world's largest producers and flush with cash, to invest a single dime. Maybe they didn't try...
