They went out off the coast of NC, about an hour south of VA Beach.

He said they are only allowed to keep one over 80" (I think that's what he said?) and the season was winding down. The next day, the captain of the boat went out and caught one he said was over 600 pounds and had to let it go.

I told him that his biggest fish outweighed mine by about 390 pounds, and the biggest I caught wasn't too awful far from where he caught his. Should I be proud, or jealous? LOL

FWIW: He brought home a big chunk, his boss got a big chunk, and the rest went to Uncle Tom's restaurant. Who knows how much it will be sold for by the time it's all said and done? He had a good time though, said it fought pretty hard, lol.
