That's not true. The bid could also represent someone
looking to buy the stock. Either way, it shows you
the reason why limit orders exist. It basically puts
you first in line when the current bid changes
(hopefully in the direction you desire) from its
current price. Keep in mind the most basic orders are
market sell and market buy, so using the limits helps
put you in line and protects you from the MM's stepping
out of the way while filling just 10k blocks. No insults
intended by the way, but it really is that basic. The
point is that you never can be sure, being in our shoes,
after all w don't have Level III.
