I don't think that's the case, the amount they're buying wouldn't protect it from dropping. I think they're buying because they know those shares will be worth much more in the future. I also don't think Insiders of any company are altruistic enough to buy shares of a company they know they is going to drop haha. I believe they test results are positive, and insiders are buying scrap shares that they can sell in the future at a much higher price for some good money, while still holding their core shares of the company
