They don't need it to bounce when they buy it for $.0005 - they just need to dump their hundreds of millions of shares at any price above $.0005 (and not even as if it falls to $.0004 for example, they retroactively get their purchase price dropped to $.0002). Given that - why wait for a bounce? $.002 gives them a 300% profit (plus interest). The marginal extra profits of waiting for, e.g., $.0022 or something are not worth the uncertainty of getting out before other convert buyers sell or retail gamblers dry up.
