Sounds like every biotech I have ever owned. Guys running it are typically the technical gurus who invented the technology. They burn cash like nobodies business. There are 3 possible outcomes with a company like this.

1) they dilute and eventually run out of money when they hit a technical road block. (95% chance)

2) they finally get to some type of revenue generating product (1%)

3) the technology works and somebody buys them out (1%)
