Randy Gene Myers...(Austin)...my 1st cousin...but in our hearts...Brothers! For the first 26 or so years of our life...where you saw one of us...you usually saw the other...then our paths took us in different directions in this world. We were as different as day and night in most ways but in other ways somewhat similar. i cant say...or remember...we ever having a harsh word to say to each other even though we sometimes did not agree...and that usually came from something stupid that i did and Austin trying to knock some sense in my head. For those that knew Austin know what a awesome, kind, loving man he was and about as laid back as they come! Austin left this world May 5th 1994 at the young age of 37 when drugs and booze finally took him to a spot that he put a 9mm in his mouth and ended it all. About a year and a half after that...i came to Know Jesus as my savior and put 25 years of drugs and booze behind me...Jesus saved my life and soul but i believe Austins death had an impact on me in such a way that even though i went off the deep end for that next year and a half...i think his death in some way help show me the road to Jesus! Today...March 20th...would have been Austin's 60th birthday...so...in loving remembrance of him...Happy Birthday Austin...i love you brother!
