Correct...but "VOLUME" does not equal "INTEREST". Both the daily volume and biweekly interest reports are generated by FINRA. The promoter run site OTCSHORTREPORT only regurgitates the daily FINRA numbers.

The VOLUME reports are merely showing how the first leg of a transaction was reported to the consolidated tape (and ALL transactions have two legs). The second leg doesn't get reported to the tape. So "VOLUME" is not showing open short positions. Only the "INTEREST" does that and FINRA only reports that every two weeks. And for MLCG that was 28,689 at last report.
