BRK is actually PAID to accept funds by those who buy insurance from BRK's many insurance divisions. Much about BRK can (and probably should) be copied by average investors. But that float can't be duplicated by many of us!

The insurance float: 1) Amplifies BRK's stock gains; 2) Gives him strength to hold in bad times. BRK doesn't have to worry about margin calls if his stocks crash.

The float is BRK's magic sauce.
