Permian Basin produces 2.2 million barrels of oil a day
The Energy Information Administration on Monday released its drilling productivity report. The Permian Basin produced 2.207 million barrels of oil a day in March and was estimated to produce 2.286 million barrels in April. The Permian was also expected to increase natural gas production, going from 7.791 million cubic feet in March to 7.945 million cubic feet in April. The Eagle Ford saw 1.116 million barrels of oil per day in March and was expected to produce 1.144 million in April. Natural gas production was 5.714 million cubic feet per day in March and a projected 5.757 million cubic feet in April. New Permian well production was 660 barrels of oil and 1.1 million cubic feet of natural gas per rig per day in March.
