Carnegie confirms discussions with South Australian Government regarding the provision of utility scale battery storage solution
Carnegie Clean Energy Limited (ASX: CCE), developer of utility scale wave energy, solar energy and battery storage projects, confirms it is in discussions with the Government of South Australia (SA) regarding the provision of utility scale battery energy storage solutions into the South Australia electricity network.
Carnegie, through its 100% subsidiary Energy Made Clean, is currently the largest provider of utility scale battery storage solutions. It has delivered or is currently delivering more than 25 utility scale systems ranging from off-grid remote communities, fringe of grid applications to on-grid products. Carnegie is uniquely positioned to deliver an Australian solution into the South Australian electricity network.
On-grid battery energy storage system (BESS) designed and delivered by Carnegie’s Energy Made Clean subsidiary for the Western Australian State Government owned energy utility, Synergy.
Carnegie’s Managing Director, Dr Michael Ottaviano, commented:
“I can confirm we are in discussions with the South Australian Government as to how we can provide a home grown, utility scale battery energy storage solution to the State of South Australia, and indeed to other State Governments across Australia. There is no one in Australia with our track record in utility storage solutions.”
