Yes, it does make sense. The company did a capital raise to support the company's expansion plans. The short seller's attack became a more immediate concern, so they decided to support the share price instead by using some of the funds meant for expansion. Personally, I would like to see the share price drop a little lower, and give us a chance to reload at lower prices.
