Offender Alert Passive Scan™
The DTII Offender Alert Passive Scan (US Patent: US7408461) US Patent: US7408461)
is a portable scanning security device that uses the Earth’s magnetic fields to detect potential security threats. The Offender Alert Passive Scan is the only product of its kind that uses passive scanning.
Traditional detectors use X-ray (radiation) imaging - the same type of technology that can have harmful effects after prolonged exposure; the Offender Alert Passive Scan eliminates any exposure to students. When students step through the Offender Alert Passive Scan, sensors embedded within the aluminum frame alert security personnel to the level of threat with color-coded LED lights and an audible buzz.
The Offender Alert Passive Scan also can link with a computer to give an instant view, using numbers or colors, of the threat area, which can then be transmitted to a handheld device for ease of use, threat tracking and neutralizing. The Offender Alert Passive Scan can be set to specific levels of detection, giving the school the ability to “ignore” cell phones and Mp3 players, but still detect more serious threats. The unit can scan one student in 1.2 seconds or 300 in 10 minutes. http://www.defensetechnologiesintl.com/projects.html

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 30, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Defense Technologies International Corp. (OTCQB:DTII) (The Company), a developer of security technologies, announces that it has begun the final phase of production, and will be testing and market its New Passive Scanner Unit in the very near future.
The original prototype was successfully demonstrated and proven at the Science and Technology Offices of Homeland Security in Washington DC's Offices. Our thanks go out to Mr. John Richardson for his assistance in arranging the demonstration to the Department of Homeland Security.
John Richardson, a retired Airline Pilot, arranged last fall for DTC to demonstrate its former Prototype to Science and Technology at the Homeland Securities Offices in Washington DC.
Mr. Richardson said: "The Metal Detector (Passive Scan) was demonstrated at the DHS Washington DC Office in the presence of the Deputy Secretary of Science and Technology Mr. A. Trent DePersia and a group of workers. Each worker was instructed to bring some concealed object to test the detector unit that was set up in the office. Not a single person was able to pass through the detector without triggering the alarm. Everyone present was very impressed."
He continued, "With the new patents added to the device, I am sure that it will be even better and I am pleased that DTC is succeeding. This device is a must especially for schools as well as other venues of assembly. It will trigger an alert for any metal object such as guns, knives etc. I believe that our country and the world need the DTC Scanner device which will save many lives and give especially parents peace of mind while their children attend school."
"I am completely a neutral party and have never been paid by the Company concerning anything with Defense Technologies and my statement is factual and unbiased," Mr. Richardson concluded.
Mr. Richardson is not a shareholder of Defense Technologies International Inc. nor its subsidiary Defense Technology Corporation. He has no business relationship with the Company or any of its Directors/Officers or employees.
Since the demonstration at HLS the inventor added two new patents (including Bluetooth Technology) that will enhance communication as well as the sensitivity and accuracy of the original scanning device. We look forward to demonstrating the improved design in the near future.
The Company's 'Offender Alert Passive Scan™' is a "next generation" walk-through detector scanning unit. This patented and trademarked passive scanning system allows for detecting and identifying concealed threats such as guns, knives, etc. Unlike other scanners the public is more familiar with, Defense Technologies does NOT use X-rays to detect threats. Serious health concerns have been raised over the repeated exposure to X-rays from scanning machines currently in use. W. Moses, the CEO of Defense Technologies International Corp., commented,"We are pleased to announce that the added patented technology will improve the quality of our Passive Scanner substantially. We are especially interested to bring more safety to our schools but other venues of assembly as well." As of August 30, 2016, the Company had approximately 26,546,056 common shares issued and outstanding, and was traded on the OTCQB exchange under the ticker symbol "DTII". https://www.thestreet.com/story/13688955/1/defense-technologies-completes-assembly-of-new-passive-scan.html

The Offender Alert system will be manufactured under licensing agreements with the inventor of the
system. These licensing agreements allow DTC to commercially develop, manufacture, use, and
distribute processes and products embodying the LICENSED INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. The
LICENSED INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY means patents and/or patents pending that are held by the
inventor and/or his assignee. The current structured agreement with the inventor, the licensing agreement
for the Offender Alert system, relates to US Patent number 7,408,461, titled: Metal detection system and
method, Inventors: Fluck; Frederick Dean, Assignee: Controlled Capture Systems, LLC. Current
pending patents, further protecting the Offender Alert system, the LICENSED INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY, will be licensed with the inventor under separate licensing agreements. These
pending patents are based on Continuity Data from Patent Application number 11/329,676 and/or
other patent applications authored by the inventor. Because of a structured agreement with the inventor,
the licensing agreement(s) for the Offender Alert will be maintained
