March 12-Outside on the patio at the apartment house I gazed at a full moon between the still bare trees. And to think, this morning it was snowing. By 11, it had stopped and shortly thereafter, patches of blue appeared. By noon, it was mostly sunny.

I spent the morning making more seed cups and placing Fatalii and Peach Habanero seeds in each one. More pepper seeds have germinated, the latest, a Golden Marconi. The Rosa Bianca eggplant seedlings on the windowsill on the third floor are taking hold with true leaves emerging. Maybe they won't get too leggy by the time I move them to the greenhouse.

That won't happen for another 7 days, the day of the vernal equinox. In between, the forecast calls for overnight lows in the 20s in Zone 7b. The lettuce plants were fine when I went to the farm this afternoon to feed CC the Calico Cat.

I'm hoping my Baker Creek Heirloom Seed order arrives in Monday's mail. If not, I'll reorder.

The sun is usually too bright to take a photo of the Charlotte skyline. Saturday's hazy condition gave me the opportunity to climb the steps to Ali's Café.

Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
