With Judges like this and you are a cop why even pull the guy over? After a while a cop must think what good does it do? He has to kill someone before he gets serious time.
Ore. man gets 1 year in jail after 9th DUII

PORTLAND, Ore. — PORTLAND, Ore. — A 56-year-old man convicted of his ninth DUII charge has been sentenced to one year in jail and a five-year supervised probation.
The prosecutor recommended six years.
Judge Judith Matarazzo said the sentence will allow Devore to enter a drunken driving intensive supervision program which requires him to stay sober and stick with treatment to avoid going to prison.
Matarazzon confirmed to KATU News that after Devore's year in jail, he will have to spend 90 more days in jail which he is allowed to serve on the weekends so he can continue working.
The extra 90 days are a condition of his probation. Other conditions include random urine analysis testing, at least one year of treatment and no entry to liquor stores, taverns or bars - among other things.
Devore’s history of driving-under-the-influence convictions stretches back to 1980, when he was 19.
The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles tells us he hasn't been able to legally drive since November of 1996, and his license is now suspended for yet another year.
His latest arrest was in October when his blood alcohol content was .28 percent, according to a PC affidavit. That's 2 1/2 times the legal limit of .08 percent for driving.
Devore said in court he has devoted himself to treatment this time.
If he fails to comply and successfully complete the DUII Intensive Supervision program, his probation will be revoked and he would face a lengthy prison sentence, according to Judge Matarazzo.
