Ethanol freight train derails, starts fire, in Iowa
Several fuel tank cars carrying ethanol burst into flames early this morning after a Union Pacific (UNP -0.3%) freight train derailed in rural Iowa.
The derailment occurred around 1 a.m. ~160 miles northwest of Des Moines, according to the local sheriff; nearby residents were asked to evacuate the area and no injuries have been reported.
