Without knowing any of the people involved here, my guess is that there are in fact multiple perspectives that all have elements of truth to them.

When people lose a boatload of money, recriminations abound. Imagine how this would all look to the people involved if CMGO was now trading at a price that is 10X or 100X what the early investors had paid for it. My guess is that there would be a whole lot more goodwill among the people involved -- and more boats and nice cars and fancy dinners. I doubt there would be any dueling affidavits.

The bottom line for someone deciding to buy or sell shares today is whether CMGO is going to go up from its current price or down.

If CMGO wins the RICO case, it goes up. If GMER does well CMGO goes up. If some manipulators move into the stock and jack the price up, longs are winners. And if none of that happens and Laken raises the A/S and dilutes this to oblivion, then longs lose more than they already have. Or the SEC will step in to bust Laken on insider trading with your dad's money and shut CMGO down. All things are possible.

And my guess is that probably very little of the return on investment, starting from today and moving forward in time, will hinge on the proper residential choices for or the happiness of your 93 year old father. It is not that I only care about my investment and my returns. I'm just saying that from that perspective I believe CMGO is currently a highly speculative buy. And at the same time as I say that, I imagine there's a lot of truth to the fact that recriminations abound. And I sincerely hope that you and your dad find peace in his remaining years and can celebrate life. Because this investment should not be allowed to spoil his remaining time.

But from the limited perspective of whether I'm going to make a profit on the shares I bought, I'm increasing thinking the answer is going to be "yes".
