Well I work in big pharma as a contract manufacturer....small guy like the doc gets his product into our facility and we produce it for distribution on the open market. We deal alot with clients in clinicals but since the doc has a working product all he really has to do is have it manufactured and the seal of approval like a CoA produced with each batch and were golden. CoA guarantees quality and purity which ties into how much you can sell your product for. Higher quality is good for everyone, especially when trying to get FDA approval, were talking BIG $$$ if that happens.
