Do I see CATL dancing in the RoadShow_audience?
CATL loves lithium carbonate and they coincidentally also really like Dua Lipa music I am told.
Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd (CATL) is China's fastest growing lithium battery maker and valued at US$11.6B, with plans to be the largest lithium battery maker in 2020, larger than Tesla's Gigafactory (CATL 50Gwh versus Tesla 35GWh). FYI, one GWh would power 40,000 electric cars to each travel 100km.

Last week China instructed domestic battery makers to double capacity and to invest more in overseas raw materials/sources Click Here, but only click once before Financial Times nag screens start pestering you.

Of note, China's Ganfeng already has a 19.9% stake in ILC/Argentina. Similarly our Maricunga next-door neighbor SQM is also currently enjoying a China Tianqi 2.1% investment.

CATL in January bought a 22% interest in Valmet Automotive (Finland) and has made it no secret that the company plans to build a lithium battery factory in Europe soon. And lithium battery factories do need a lot lithium as you well know.

Ahhhhh soooooo (ala Charlie Chang), so now I am like you and I'm thinking CATL might very well indeed be calling on us fairly soon... perhaps even before the wedding (just to take an early-bird look at the bridal registry and to see who is coming to the bachelors party of course).
