BRK was founded in 1839. Was a very famous maker of mens apparel in the 1920s-1950s. Traded on the NYSE and was surely current on its filings when Buffett started buying stock in it around 1960. BRK was never a penny stock. BRK always had thousands of employees. Has 300,000 employees now.

They couldn't be more different.
