- Flood Control Infrastructure The Senate Environment and Public Works
Committee convened a hearing to assess the nation’s dams given recent
flooding events in parts of California, Montana and Wyoming. The U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers Commanding General and Chief of Engineers, Lt. Gen.
Todd Semonite testified on the resources the corps is providing to these
states and other states that need aid with regard to flood control
management. Other state officials from California, Wyoming, Iowa and
Wisconsin also testified. Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) chairs the committee
while Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE) serves as the ranking member fly over cam.
