Best of both worlds proposal - ignore divies during contest. Then at the end, take the top 5 finishers and go back and factor in divies (if any) for only those 5 contestants.

Why spend time and effort factoring in a dividend that might move someone from 23rd into 21st place?

Mox nix.

Spend time on it only if it matters at the top of the final standings. Most of the time you won't need to go back to factor in dividends.

If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
