My tribute to the beautiful, enigmatic, everlasting Marilyn Monroe on the 49th year since her tragic passing on August 5, 1962. She may be gone in body, but she lives on forever through the mark she made on this world.

I used Beyonce's new song "I Was Here" because the first time I heard it, it made me think of Marilyn and how she lived her life. She wanted to leave her footprint, she wanted to make a mark on this world, and she did it in the biggest way possible. I hope she knows how much of an influence she had on the world, and that her flame has not died out yet. I hope she knows she is loved very much & has touched so many lives, even though hers was tragically short. Rest in peace & love, Norma Jeane.
