Samsa, Novartis does not own Lyrica, Pfizer does. Novartis has a generic division that will sell generic Lyrica when patent expires. Pfizer is working on controlled-release Lyrica. I would expect Pfizer to try to get controlled-release Lyrica approved and transition as many patients over before patent expires. So I do not think Pfizer would want IPCI's Regabatin. Would Novartis want to compete against itself, as a generic Lyrica manufacturer, and also compete against controlled-release Lyrica?
