The only thing I can say with certainty is the ships travel on an itinerary based on container contracts based on regular international commerce. In other words, the barrels go wherever the the commerce demands they go.

Here's a thought: Are the barrels strapped to the ship deck as they were on Jefferson's Journey, really getting exposure to the elements, or are they in a container?

I would appear to be very tempting to the crew if the barrels were exposed to the elements and the crew
