The one problem I see is that many medical people, especially in cardiovascular field, think they know everything already, and if something new came along they would know about it. About a year ago trying to get a doctor's opinion on giving a closed head injury patient fish oil, he advised against it citing the bleeding risk. I guess as those doctors who see the results of puting their patients on Vascepa begin to see the results they will tell their colleagues about it who will then start to get their patients on it. Better insurance coverage would help as well. What I hope eventually happens is that Vascepa will not just be known as CVD drug, but as a medication with many positive side effects (as all on this board are aware.) I can see it now: some old guy bragging to his wife,"ya, I got my Doc to put me on Vascepa for my heart, but my golf buddy Joe said it really helped with his stiff joints...and his golf game. Hope it does the same for me."
