Thanks Good answer .

I'm just surprised that the A Fib warning and risk of elevating LDL with Lovaza doesn't persuade more ( MD's / patients ) to switch.

By the way , my MD has finally stopped prescribing Naicin ......of course now he thinks it was his idea all along to stop ! Seems to forget my frequent reminders that risk outweighed benefit .

Re Vascepa ...at least he is now willing to discuss it ( as opposed to the dismissive .." .yeah fish oil right "? . Says Kaiser still won't cover until they see Outcome data .

In the past we had discussed more aggressive medical intervention as a reason for why the placebo rate might be lower then what JL et al expect .
In my experience with Kaiser , every since I had a coronary angioplasty in 2016 , they have found some reason to contact me or request I come in for blood test / physical etc ..on average once every 3 months !

By the way ..have you seen the Stent Cards . Friend recently had an MI ...required 4 stents , diabetic and very over weight so they didn't do CABG ( which was their first choice ) . But now he carries a Stent Card showing where the stents are and the dimensions of each stent .
