Nice edit but it's bullshit:

they could have moved on for many reasons (most likely due to manufacturing constraints) not related to the quality of the drugs.



There is no EVIDENCE of that crackpot theory. Still, it is irrelevant. If they can't manufacture a wonder drug and have scrapped that wonder drug then any "evidence" no matter how good or shoddy of that scrapped drug is entirely worthless.
