The four year drought in California, which was the driest in the past 500 years, ended all at once.

Here in Los Angeles I think we're going to get a few more scattered showers on Sunday, then back to eternal sunshine.


Only the San Luis Obispo area needs more rain, where the Lake Nacimiento reservoir the local farms rely on is only 46% full. All other reservoirs are filled to capacity.

This map shows the Imperial Valley still dry because they get their water from the Colorado River - and the states of Colorado and Utah still need a lot more snow to fill the Hoover Dam and Parker Dam. But the truth is the Imperial Valley has first call on the Colorado, so the drought is actually in Las Vegas and Arizona.
