Phil, this is what happens when there's no marketing director in place and you drop the IR firm to save some money. The problem is that the CEO is simply too busy to manage everything effectively and he needs to show an improving bottom line to investors so he cuts corners, it's a strategy often referred to as, penny wise, pound foolish.
