Reading between the lines from Merritt, IDCC is certainly more likely to buy another player vs. using their cash to buy back stock or raise dividend. Seems like something may even happen in the near term here.

The 5G revs are still a relatively long way off...so they need to get some of the unlicensed under license in the meantime...as always. His "we play nice" with the unlicensed gets a bit old. Still believe that someone like an Intel would be a nice potential buyer if this keeps remaining this "cheap". Unfortunately, the fact that IDCC hopes to play with everyone makes it less likely to be acquired by someone who is less inclined to do so with all the Frand junk that goes with it.
