GM, I could live with the 70s all year.
BTW I owe you a story about my latest volunteer visit with the Clock Man.
So I went there last Thursday, I asked him, of the 350 clocks, how many of them don't work? Without hesitation, he says 5. In fact he took me to four of them (the 5th was upstairs in a bedroom). one clock he got without a key, he thinks an Allen key he has may work but is concerned it may break the gears. He showed me a Tapestry Clock, the clock itself is about the size of a jar lid and the material is sown around it, he said he wasn't sure why it didn't work but it was 150 yrs old. I saw another one (working)hanging next to it, but it was only about 80 yrs old. The 3rd one was very special he says, it had a cylinder filled with gas, which does a complete rotation every minute, The clock has to be very level in order to work properly, he had it on the mantle of the fireplace. He said it worked before but not sure why it's not working now, it's about 125 yrs old. (duh!) The 4th was old and looked old (unlike all the others) and he said it never did work to well. While I'm talking to him, I look on the floor in the hallway and see a (clock) key on the floor, he says it's suppose to be there. Next to it was clock, I look around and see more keys on the floor with more clocks. I guess if you have 350 clocks they all can't fit on the mantle. LOL I asked him if he adjusts the clocks when daylight Savings time comes. Again, no hesitation, he smiles and says, "yes and it makes for a very long week-end" What an interesting character this guy is, he KNOWS his clocks. Hope to go back again.
Sorry this is so long
