Their tiny R&D project had to do with a tiny fraction of the PD arena. They were trying to show they could develop a test that detected a certain mutated gene that increases the risk of a person getting "one of various forms of hereditary PD". All Hereditary PD represents a single digit percent of PD cases.

Test already exist for this and ARYC was given samples that were known to have the gene mutation and samples know NOT to have the mutation.

They were also told which of the samples with the gene mutation also were from people that actually had hereditary PD.

Form this, they back-engineered a biomarker profile (others have the same thing) that all the persons with the gene mutation had in common (something others have as well).

From this and ONLY this, the Twitter TWIT falsely claimed they had developed a test that detects ALL PD and with 100% accuracy and no false positives.

- 1st is the test didn't verify anything as to actual PD, just that it might be a test (like others on the market) that tells a person they have the gene mutation that increases their risk of getting "hereditary PD" at some point in their life.

- 2nd is the issue didn't even involve over 95% of the PD world

- 3rd is their test actually had a HIGH PERCENT OF FALSE POSITIVES, as they claimed test showed people had hereditary PD but were TOTALL HEALTHTY. This was on top of the test only addressed having the gene and not actually having PD. To try and explain away what can't be explained away or something no credible scientist would ever accept as credible, the delusional Twitter Twit claimed the "false positives" were actually true positives that detected the people actually had PD and ARYC detected it some 50 years before any symptoms will occurs....

As the world has seen for the 8 years the Twitter Twit has been espousing this trash - nobody has any interest in this little R&D project that shows virtually ZERO....
