If walmart had put their business plan together like this one , people would wait decades for the land and inventory to be paid off ,paying associates for that time and after that saying ,well now its all paid for ,lets build the building and move in???
sorry ,it dont work like that. If I were to open a business ,lets say a DQ franchise .I will need 300k working capital ,good credit ,they will do a market survey to find out the number of people in the area and the available workforce,then will lend me money on a suitable building site ,build the building ,help with implemetation of the business plan and Corporate will get 3-4% of sales plus paid back for building and real estate costs over time, and I must update my store when THEY say,regardless of sales,as to keep customer appeal, McDonalds is the same way .
We have a sales force that isnt generating enough money to pay themselves more less millions for the mgmt and subsidising the others. do the math , you cannot be the "come from behind kid" and expect to win when you are $3 million loser for years. If it took 10(even 5) years to open a McDonalds ,how many franchisee's do you think they would attract????
