MJNA was never a growing or selling marijuana play, but was originally a support and services company.
When Bruce Perlowin founded Medical Marijuana, Inc, he was (and still is,) a convicted felon, and therefore couldn't get involved in the marijuana business until the feds make it legal.

When Perlowin took over MJNA and changed the name from Club Vivanet to Medical Marijuana, Inc, the original business was to provide educational and Point of Sale support and "closed loop" financing models to the marijuana industry:

A couple of years later, Perlowin sold MJNA to HDDC Holdings (Michael Llamas), and the new owners began their "investment" model.
