NG traded down again today .... low was $2.74/mcf for the March contract which expires Friday. April is trading at an $0.11 premium. The futures markets were open despite the holiday.

February has been brutally warm .... if it had been brutally cold instead, NG would almost certainly be trading above $4/mcf, maybe near $4.50.

CHK oil and gas production is mostly hedged at fixed prices anyway so the volatility in NG prices has less impact than some would think.
