VP is an infrastructure solution, this is fairly clear from the wallstconference intro page, more like a communication enabler, security is a side effect of such an architecture. BB probably has chosen to push the security story to get some initial traction. VP is obviously a candidate for an acquisition, for that he just need to prove that VP is sufficiently disruptive. Sales is just one way of achieving this but you lose all confidentiality. Ganthet on the other hand would likely benefit from being at the RSA conf.
