Building a Broadband CO-OP operation to support ISP groups and Data Centers.
The CO-OP operates a microwave backbone and is building a fiber-optic backbone extending from northern VA to West Virginia connecting the lowest cost of bandwidth and the lowest cost of power in the USA together. The goal of this project is to create.
1.The most cost effective location in North America for data centers and ISP’s to operate.
2. Bring high tech Internet related jobs and technology to West Virginia.
3. Dramatically lower the cost of Internet bandwidth to ISP’s in Northwestern Virginia and West Virginia.

This project will lower the cost of providing broadband Internet service up to 70% by eliminating local loop and transport fees. Making it cost effective enough for ISP to both lower their cost of Broadband Internet service and expand their broadband networks.
The WVBC’s Network operations center for this Project is located in Romney West Virginia operating from a former secure cold war data center and Microwave communications center located 100 miles north west of Washington DC. The fiber and Microwave backbone will be the largest carrier neutral network in North America.
