HJOE is contractually obligated to pay their attorney. I am certain the attorney didn't make payment contingent based on the results of the case - this isn't a personal injury case. Imteresting that you think HJOE shouldn't pay their attorneys - I suggest that HJOE didn't provide any proof to help the Attorney much like they didn't provide the documents that PLN requested.

The Magistrate stated:

Notably, however, there appears to be no dispute that defendants entered four additional, nearly identical transactions with plaintiff during a two-year period. In each of the other transactions, the debt incurred by defendants was satisfied through conversion to stock... Defendants present virtually no factual support for their motion, and the tangled web of contentions and counter-contentions render the record impervious to reasoned review.

It seems that HJOE is cash poor - that they can't afford a $37,000 attorney fee.

First, HJOE didn't pay TCA, then they didn't pay PLN, then Warner Bros., KBM, Larry the Cable Guy and now their Attorney.

Adamson seems to have a phobia about paying those that he owes money.

Why would you pay a incompetent legal team?

Because HJOE is contractually obligated.
