For context, here is a few more articles I found:

How A Christian Hospital In Iraq Is Saving ISIS Fighters' Lives

http://www.christiantoday.com/article/how.a.christian.hospital.in.iraq.is.saving.isis.fighters.lives/104688.htm

Part of Franklin's quote:

"God does tell us to help the stranger and those in need; but God doesn't tell us to expose our cities, homes, and lives to hostile people. Remember, Jerusalem had walls and gates, and when they had a threat, the gates were closed. Many Muslim groups have made no secret of their deep and deadly hatred for this country."

My thoughts:

Is he exposing Mosul, homes, and lives to hostile people? I'm sure Franklin is in a difficult spot. He helps ISIS terrorists like Israel helps Palestinian terrorists.

If I turn the other cheek, personally, I suffer for Christ. If in a hospital, I turn the other cheek to to help an ISIS terrorist, or a Palestinian terrorist, and that terrorist goes back to the 'battle field', someone else suffers for nothing. And, I'm responsible.

Here is the second article:

Samaritan's Purse Opens New Hospital 6 Miles Outside ISIS' War Zone in Mosul

http://www.christianpost.com/news/samaritans-purse-opens-new-hospital-6-miles-outside-isis-war-in-mosul-172913/?full=1#rm3RAu6G9qmqUkLC.99

The third:

THE BATTLE IN MOSUL CONTINUES
Samaritan's Purse is treating the injured and providing relief to those displaced by conflict

https://www.samaritanspurse.org/disaster/middle-east-relief/

"Samaritan’s Purse is caring for critically injured children and adults at our emergency field hospital on the Plains of Nineveh in Iraq."

"Our hospital is the closest trauma center to frontline fighting and is operated in partnership with the Iraqi Ministry of Health."

"Our current response builds on nearly a decade of continuous work in northern Iraq. Children's programs, medical care, and other projects for those displaced by ISIS have hallmarked our efforts to provide relief in Jesus’ Name. Our Christian presence is welcomed in Iraq as an agent of peace between conflicting Shi’a and Sunni Muslims."

I'm not sure how the 'welcome' works in a place that persecutes Christians and other minorities; not just by ISIS. I didn't see anything in the Samaritan article about helping ISIS fighters. Intention?

Iraq appears to be not much of a country, talking out of both sides of it's mouth, and taking money from anywhere they can get it.

Another site and article that may provide insight:

Restore Nineveh Now
Why are we here?

http://www.restoreninevehnow.org/?page_id=103

"The region in north-western Iraq, the Nineveh Plains, has for thousands of years been the home of the Assyrians, the original Iraqis. The Assyrians (who are Christian), as well as other peoples like the Yezidis (who are polytheistic), have for generations endured persecution at the hands of Muslim like the Kurdish Badr Khan in the 19th century, Saddam Hussein in the 20th century, and presently, the so-called Islamic State or ISIS."

"However, even before the ISIS invasion of June, 2014, the Iraqi government recognized the ongoing abuse that Assyrians and Yezidis have endured at the hands of intolerant Islamists. In response, the Iraqi government asserted that Assyrians and other non-Muslims have a right to exist and govern their own future in Iraq and, on January 21, 2014, declared that on the Nineveh Plain in northern Iraq there would be a new province, the Nineveh Plain Province, which should serve as a safe haven for Assyrians and other ethnic and religious minorities.

Unfortunately, ISIS is currently occupying the lands of the Nineveh Plain Province, spreading a reign of terror – complete with beheading, torture and sexual slavery – unlike anything the world has ever seen anywhere."

If you give to Restore Nineveh Now, they buy bullets to fight ISIS, so they say. If you give to Samaritans Purse, they help ISIS live.

Disclosure - I've given to both; in the past. I'm in a holding pattern right now. I want more information. My present sentiments are to help neighbors and strangers who are more 'local'. The Good Samaritan didn't live half way around the world from the 'half-dead man he helped. Samaritans and Jews were at least cultural cousins. He even told the innkeeper he would be back to pay any difference; didn't have the internet to make contributions back then. Helping someone was much more personal and hands on. Perhaps it should be again.

Wars, rumors of wars, and lots of money flowing. Lots of smoke blowing too.

I haven't seen the Canadian connection yet. Canadian Media is more 'FAKE' than American Media. CBC is government controlled. The Bible is a 'hate book' in Canada.
