Not one bit. Do doctors talk about driving habits or give safety advice about lawn mowers? Most doctors wouldn't know how to properly handle a firearm!!

I've also suggested to people to not ever tell your doctor that you have or have had bouts of being very sad or depressed unless they they are talking to them seeking help.
